Yes. Depending on the type you have, lash extenstions can cause major damage to your natural lashes. There are 3 types of lash extensions Cluster lashes, Strip lashes and Single lashes. The lash extensions that we provide at Mahogany Beauty Studio is Single lash extensions. These are said to be the safest kind to get because of the the technique that is used to apply them. However, please do your homework on the lash artist you choose because Single lashes could be applied incorrectly and cause serious damage and infection such as alopecia and blephoritis. Examples of incorrect application and Blephorirtis infection. ​

When lash extensions are applied properly they can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Why do you need a fill every 2-4 weeks? It is important to know that naturally we lose about 2-5 lashes per day. If you average 3 lashes per day, this is how many lashes are lost each week: 1 WEEK: 21 LASHES 2 WEEKS: 42 LASHES 3 WEEKS: 63 LASHES It is recommened to wash your lash extensions 2-3 times a weeks to avoid infection and to extend the life of your lash extensions. Lashes that are not cleaned properly will build up oil and the oil will break down the adheseve making them shed prematurely.

Yes! Lash extensions are waterproof. However, they are not oil-proof and salt water proof. So swimming at the beach, emotional tears, using oil based facial products and oil based mascara is not recommended if you want your lashes to last.

Each client that never had lash extensions go through a patch test. This process is to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients in the glue.

DEPOSITS To book an appointment with Mahogany Lash & Body, a required deposit of 100% of the service that is choosen will be due upon booking. Full payment of deposit are accepted online only, if a lash artist manual books a client an appointment the 100% deposit is collected in addition to a $10.00 administration fee. ARRIVALPlease Aim to arrive 5-10 min before your scheduled appointment time with clean/makeup free eyes and lashes. Extra time spent cleaning your lashes will mean less time lashing. If you arrive 20 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, it will not be possible to extend the time available of your booked service; After 20minutes of being late your appointment will be canceled and you will have to pay in full for another available spot. Payments refundable are non refundable for any reason. CHANGING YOUR APPOINTMENT If you need to reschedule your appointment you must pay again full price for another spot. SICKNESS OR FAMILY EMERGENCYIf you, or another person in your household, has an infectious or contagious illness, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment for a later date. For your safety and that of staff and other clients, please do not come to your appointments sick. If it is assumed you are currently sick, your appointments may be cut short or canceled and rescheduled for when you are healthy again. You must pay the full payment to hold another spot. CANCELATION + NO SHOW As a courtesy, appointment reminders are sent out 24 hours before by either text, email or both. All customers MUST pay 100% for any and all appointments booked, this will be required at the time of booking. THIS PAYMENT (DEPOSIT/BOOKING FEE) IS NON REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON. This is to protect your time that is set aside especially for you, as well as to protect our time which books up quickly. In turn, we promise to keep appointments on time, give you our full and undivided attention and of course, the best lash work Tampa has to offer! OTHER ARTISTS' WORK If you currently have eyelash extensions on from another lash artist, there may be the possibility that your current extensions will need to be removed and put back on properly. Due to the unregulated nature of eyelash extension training, certifications and state board regulations, there are alot of lash artists that have been improperly trained and at Mahogany Lash & Body, our priority is your natural lash health and eye safety. Thus, if you are coming in for a touch up from another lash artist, then you agree that your current extensions may need to be removed and a new full set will need to be applied at the appropriate full set price. This will be discussed and fully explained to you prior to any service being performed. AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS Certain circumstances and seasons may leave you in a panic to squeeze in a last minute lash appointment that is outside of our normal business hours. After hours appointments may be available on a case by case basis for an additional $60 fee. Please contact us directly to schedule your after hours appointment. REFUND POLICY You are paying for artist time, product and other expenses used to provide you with a service. No refunds will be given for any reason on services or products. If you are unhappy with a service, you may contact us within 72 hours of your appointment to discuss your concerns and if a fix can be done to address your concerns, it will be done so with a complimentary 40 min express touch up if it is at the fault of application or product. Any concerns addressed after 72 hours of your last appointment, or if you failed to follow the proper aftercare instructions, will be charged at full price for the service.
